Steven Pinker is an experimental psychologist and best-selling author. He is known for his research on language, visual cognition, social relations, and his groundbreaking books on rationality, human nature, and human progress. Pinker is a professor at Harvard University and arguably the most iconic defender of Enlightenment ideals in the modern world. He is a member of the National Academy of Sciences, has been named Humanist of the Year and one of Time magazine’s '100 Most Influential People in the World Today'.
